My Teaching Philosophy : Cultivating the Imagination
As a Teacher / Facilitator, I wish to create a nurturing environment that inspires and facilitates the creative process. I believe that the main goal is to build the student’s confidence, building upon small successes, developing and accessing their imaginations while developing a creative practice. Dynamic and multi-layered activities will develop the student’s ability to widen their perspective, while maintaining a greater understanding of the art they are studying.
In class we will be using techniques that offer methods of self-expression, self-discovery and the ability to discern which materials will best facilitate
the desired expression. By deepening their curiosity through this process, the inner world of the student expands, their levels of engagement with the creative process now becomes part of the
foundational skill-set for excellence.
